The Horizon Award has been established to recognize the contributions made to the GC community by a student organization officially recognized by the college for the first time between March 1, 2023 and March 1, 2025. All recently recognized student organizations are eligible to be nominated and receive this award. The committee will consider the nomination based on the following criteria: organization activity since March 1, 2023, campus involvement, leadership development, programs/events (including number of events, quality of events, and target audience), membership recruitment and retention efforts, publicity and promotional efforts, fundraising, community service, and contributions to co-curricular life at GC.
Organization Awards may be submitted by anyone, but a member of the RSO being nominated or group's advisor is highly encouraged. Before completing this form, consider the following: - Organization's President's Name - Organization's Advisor's Name - Number of Active members in your organization - Description of your recruitment and retention efforts this year - How did your organization contribute to the co-curricular life of the campus? - What were 3-5 MAJOR goals of your organization this year and how did you achieve them? - Why do you believe your organization deserves the Horizon Award?
