The RSO Advisor of the Year Award was established to recognize and acknowledge the special efforts of an individual who has done an outstanding job in advising a student organization. The nominee can be the advisor of any recognized student organization. The committee will consider the nomination based on the following criteria: regularly attends group meetings and/or events, shares knowledge of the program, suggests program ideas, is a good resource for the group, is easily accessible, works with the officers of the group, and is concerned with the welfare of the group and its membership.
Individual Awards may be submitted by any member of the GC community (student, staff, faculty, or organizational advisor) who has first-hand knowledge of the advisor's contribution. Before completing this form, consider the following: - In what ways has this individual contributed to the organization(s)? - How did this person use his/her skills to enhance the organization(s)? - In what events, programs, projects or committees has this individual taken an active leadership role? - How has this person helped or encouraged new leaders in the organization? - Describe why you believe this person deserves the RSO Advisor of the Year Award.
