The Student Leader of the Year Award was established to recognize and acknowledge a particular individual who has encouraged enthusiasm and participation on campus, been involved in a wide range of organizations and committees, strengthened his/her organization(s), and made outstanding contributions to the campus community. All members of recognized student organizations are eligible to be nominated to receive this award. The committee will consider the nomination based on the following criteria: contributions to GC students, the range of involvement on campus and within the community while being a participant in a student organization (leader) and levels of involvement in activities or organizations.
Individual Awards may be submitted by any member of the GC community (student, staff, faculty, or organizational advisor) who has first-hand knowledge of the student's contribution. Before completing this form, consider the following: - In what ways has this individual contributed to the organization(s)? - How did this person use his/her skills to enhance the organization(s)? - In what events, programs, projects or committees has this individual taken an active leadership role? - How has this person helped or encouraged new leaders in the organization? - Describe why you believe this person deserves the Student Leader of the Year Award.
