The Unsung Hero Award was established to recognize and acknowledge a particular student who has made significant contributions above and beyond his/her position in an organization or on campus. The recipient may not have been otherwise recognized for his/her accomplishments and achievements. All members of recognized student organizations are eligible to be nominated and receive this award. The committee will consider the nomination based upon the following criteria: contributions and impact upon the College and community and level of involvement in activities or organizations.
Individual Awards may be submitted by any member of the GC community (student, staff, faculty, or organizational advisor) who has first-hand knowledge of the student's contribution. Before completing this form, consider the following: - In what ways has this individual contributed to the organization(s)/project(s)/program(s) listed above? - How did this person use his/her skills to enhance the organization(s)/project(s)/ program(s)? - In what events, programs, or projects has this individual taken an active leadership role? - How has this person helped or encouraged others in the organization/project/program? - Describe why you believe this person deserves the Unsung Hero Award.
